Body Contouring & Liposuction

Body contouring reshapes selected areas of the body by removing fat, transferring it, or combining both, when intervention is medically suitable. Options range from small-area liposuction to wider contouring plans, and the appropriate path is determined after examination, not before it.

Care is led by Dr. Khalid Almutairi, a consultant plastic surgeon who is board certified in plastic and reconstructive surgery and fellowship trained in aesthetic and body contouring surgery in Canada and the USA.

What does this area cover?

Each procedure has its own page explaining suitability, limitations, recovery, and indicative fees:

  • Small-area liposuction: a limited option for localised areas.
  • Advanced body contouring: wider plans addressing more than one area or a greater degree of reshaping.
  • Large-volume body contouring and fat transfer: plans combining fat removal and larger-volume transfer.
  • Fat transfer to the face or hands: using the patient's own fat in selected areas.

Body contouring is not a weight-loss method

These procedures reshape selected areas; they are not a substitute for weight loss or a treatment for obesity. Relative weight stability is one of the factors discussed during assessment, because significant weight change after a procedure affects the result.

How is the decision made?

Assessment considers fat distribution, skin elasticity, general health, medicines, smoking, and previous procedures. The doctor then clarifies the most appropriate option, its scope, its limits, and realistic expectations. No procedure suits every patient, and the most appropriate choice may be a different plan or no intervention.

No specific outcome or complete symmetry can be guaranteed, and limitations and risks — including contour irregularity, sensory change, and fluid collection — are discussed before any decision.

Anaesthesia and fees

The type of anaesthesia is determined after medical assessment and according to the plan's extent, safety, and facility requirements. Indicative fees appear on each procedure's page and on the fees page, and a final quotation is provided after consultation. The consultation fee is SAR 700.
