When should I stop Fucidin?
The duration depends on the condition of the wound and is specified in the discharge prescription. If the wound is closed and dry with no discharge, the doctor will decide at the follow-up appointment whether it should be continued or stopped.
Can I sleep on my side after two weeks?
Direct pressure on the ear is not recommended until the doctor permits it. Even after two weeks, it is preferable to continue sleeping on your back or on the opposite side while protecting the ear from pressure or folding.
Is prostration during prayer permitted?
This depends on the amount of swelling, the possibility of pressure on the ear, and the patient’s ability to lower and raise the body without increasing pain or throbbing. Avoid any position that causes direct pressure or clear congestion in the area, and follow the doctor’s instructions for the individual case.
Are the pain medicines safe?
Paracetamol and ibuprofen are among the most widely used pain medicines and have well-known, documented safety records when used at the prescribed dose in an appropriate patient. This is why the protocol uses them instead of opioid pain medicines. Ibuprofen is excluded for patients with kidney disease, and paracetamol is excluded for patients with liver disease or those who do not tolerate it. The appropriate alternative is selected for each case.
When to Contact the Clinic
Contact the clinic if a wound problem develops, pain or swelling increases, or you need clarification of your individual instructions. Follow the Otoplasty and General Instructions pages when an urgent warning sign is present.
